Lightnin’ Hopkins sings the blues! A legendary Texas bluesman who heard Blind Lemon Jefferson play when he was 8 years old, made his own cigar box guitar, and learned to play. His mom wanted him to play the organ in church, but he was drawn to the blues music of his older brothers. While very young, he set out to make a name as a blues musician criss crossing Texas and paying the bus fare by entertaining the passengers with his music.
